Infrared Heater Splash IPX7

Innovative, patented radiant warmer with IPX7 protection, capable for 30-minute immersion in 1 metre of water. The infra-red light creates a pleasant nest warmth effect thanks to its gentle radiation.

This calms the piglets, relaxes their muscles, strengthens the immune system and ensures faster recovery from injuries. The result is less restlessness and stress and significantly better daily weight gains.

  • maintains body temperature for newborn and sick animals
  • suitable for calves, lambs, goats, chicks and small animals
  • the illumination (carbon tube) is included in the scope of delivery. Carbon filaments are less sensitive to vibrations than conventional tungsten filaments
  • favourable in operation: while conventional infra-red lamps fail after approx. 5000 hours, the carbon tube of the Splash model lasts at least 15,000 operating hours
  • low energy consumption due to 2-stage economy switch, mode recognisable from a significant distance via the LED signal lamp (switch settings: OFF / 50 % / 100 %)
  • Studies (e.g. 1996 Dureau, T.E., et al.) show that piglets react with stress to strong contrasts and stay away from shadows and dark corners
  • light that is too bright causes restlessness, skin complaints, shortness of breath, high blood pressure and glare. Conventional lamps with tungsten filaments have a brightness of > 6000 LUX. The carbon tubes used here have a brightness of only about 5 lux
  • this not only promotes the health and well-being of the animals, but also results in less energy loss in the form of light
  • excellent heat distribution: while conventional lamps generate a lot of heat in the centre, which then falls off sharply, the special design of the Splash lamp reflects light and casts it evenly onto the intended area

Patented radiant heater with IPX7 protection: waterproof and suitable for 30-minute submersion. Can be washed directly in the barn, saves labour time, prevents the spread of germs and increases hygiene.

Gentle infra-red radiation with nest warmth effect: calms the animals, strengthens the immune system, promotes recovery and reduces stress. This results in healthier animals and better daily weight gains.

Durable carbon tube included in the scope of delivery: impact-resistant and three times more durable than conventional tungsten filaments. Particularly economical with up to 15,000 operating hours and even heat distribution.

Energy-saving and 2 heating levels with LED display: full power (blue) for newborn animals and winter operation, economy mode (green) for older animals and summer operation. The setting is recognisable even from a distance.

Optimum heat distribution: special reflector design distributes the heat evenly. Low brightness (approx. 5 lux) prevents stress, ensures well-being and reduces animal losses.

Advantages of waterproof radiant heaters:

  • Radiant heater no longer needs to be removed before cleaning the barn.
  • More safety for the user: while some farmers used to leave conventional radiant heaters with a low protection rating in the barn during cleaning, risking the risk of leakage current and tripping fuses, these radiant heaters can now be conveniently cleaned at the same time.
  • No more spreading of germs through dusty, dirty heat lamps. Simply wash the heat lamps at the same time.
